Mommy & Me 4th of July Style Options

With the Independence Day fast approaching, my mind has wondered to what Faith and I will be wearing for the upcoming holiday.  I became somewhat fixated on this due to a work friend sharing a star print tank, cut off denim shorts, and sneakers holiday look she found on FB.  Below is some great inspiration from Pink Lily Boutique that I found on Pinterest.  Both of these tanks (tank 1, tank 2) are 30% off today if you want to check them out.

FAITH'S HOLIDAY OUTFIT PICKS

Faith's holiday outfit will need to be a dress - it's either that or a skirt.  Shorts do not exist in my daughter's fashion vocabulary.  I love that my daughter is a girly girl, but I wish that we could incorporate shorts or jeans on occasion.  Below is a roundup of patriotic dresses all under $25 for toddler girls.  I'm not sure what I love more - the gingham print or the bandanna print.

MY HOLIDAY OUTFIT PICKS

My holiday outfit picks for myself are of the more casual bent.  Our plans for the holiday include attending a block party and then walking down to the town hall to watch our town's fireworks.  This means a fair amount of running around after the kiddos and then traversing down Main St to observe the main holiday event.  I absolutely LOVE, LOVE the patriotic styled chucks.  These blue star print Converse  are only $30 and would also make an excellent choice!  (In addition to the two other pairs down below).

DRESSY OUTFIT OPTIONS

If you need to dress up for the occasion, I've pulled together 4 outfits all under $120.

Today, I headed over to one of my two favorite T.J.Maxx stores and found Alternative star print shirt as well as the red tank featured in my casual picks both $12.99 each.  If you can't head to your local T.J. Maxx, they have a similar style shirt by Cable & Gauge scoop start tee also for $12.99.

I think the great thing about putting together a 4th of July outfit is that you can use existing elements in your wardrobe such as a plain white tee enabling you to spend money on a new pair of cut off shorts or an awesome pair of high top Chucks.  What will you be wearing for the 4th of July?  Do you have any fun plans for the holiday?
