FRIDAY FEELING PICKS

I've decided to start a new weekly series to cover my top style, home decor, and sales picks from the week to inspire some weekend shopping.  Below are 5 things are my radar from exploring Pinterest, browsing at +T.J.Maxx, and online sales.

1. FALL DIY PROJECT

I found this rustic wooden heart on Pinterest when I was looking up fabric flowers and definitely want to try putting something together now that I've gotten a good handle on making felt flowers.  If I can find a good deal on a wooden frame, I'd definitely like to try my hand at a fall themed DIY project for my front door.  Below are a few I found on sale at JoAnn that I could buy over the weekend with my 60% off coupon (which hopefully can be used on sale items).

2. UNEVEN HEM DENIM

I was at +T.J.Maxx and saw a really cute pair of black uneven hem denim by Joe's Jeans.  At +T.J.Maxx, you can buy them for $69.99.  They're not on their online site, BUT, they are on sale for $35 on 6pm.com!!  Below are those jeans as well as some other great deals on uneven hem denim.

Express is having a sale this weekend - 40% off so those jeans would be $48.  I haven't ordered anything from Asos in a while and I've never tried their jeans but at $20, $30, they're a steal and look super cute.  Anyone have experience with their denim collection?

3. SAM EDELMAN ANKLE BOOTS

When I discovered Joe's Jeans Blondie Ankle denim pair at +T.J.Maxx, I also saw some ankle boots by Sam Edelman for $59.99 - Paige ankle boots.  You can buy these same boots on 6pm.com for $41.99.  Sam Edelman is having a Labor Day Sale with an extra 20% off all sale items (code - SAMSALE20).  Below are some of my picks (1st two are from Sam Edelman, the other three are from various other sites).

4. ZARA TRENDING PICKS

Sites like Zara, H&M, and Asos tend to overwhelm me with their vast collections and I don't really browse too much online, except for kids' clothing lines. When I go into a Zara or a H&M store, I feel the same way and always end up picking the pieces that are the least flattering or don't fit right, and tend to disuade me from shopping there for myself. I saw an article by WhoWhatWear explaining Zara's new category online, called Trending Picks.  I browsed through and found my favorites from the set.  It seems that embrodiery, tweed, and houndstooth are what's in for fall and I LOVE IT!

5.  MY TARGET EMBELLISHED CLUTCH

Do you remember my obsession a while back with all things embellished & pom pom'd (as evidenced by my above selection of Sam Edelman gretchen sandal)?  Well, I was in +Target  a short while ago and found the clutch I posted about on clearance for $13.98!  And it's even better in person, extremely sturdy, and the perfect clutch size.  It comfortably fits my wallet, cell phone, car keys, and lip products.  I've now been putting that inside my larger handbag and it's made my life 100x easier to find the essentials (my cell phone, car keys, and debit card).  Below is another look at the clutch as well as 2 other really cute clutches.  To make the deals even sweeter, not only are all 3 under $20, +Target  is giving an extra 25% off clothings, shoes, and accessories for Labor Day Weekend - it's a win win.

I hope you're having a good #FridayFeeling and my style picks have inspired you to do some shopping.  And if you're a mom like myself, I hope your significant other gives you a little me time to do shopping, especially after all the work we've put into getting our kiddos ready for back to school.

  3. I haven't been able to find a wooden heart in the craft stores - I might have to buy online to finish by DIY.
